Most cobol programs are using 2 characters for the year and when the year changes to 2000, 99% of the cobol programs will not accept this date or if the year is not checked it will calculate incorrectly.

If you have the source for your programs they can be changed and the files expanded to accept 4 position for the year. If you do not have the source or can't find someone who does have it you will need a new software package.
